Learning Commons

Welcome Bulldogs!

The goal of the Learning Commons is to provide a safe place for our learner community to engage in literacy, research, and collaboration. We have thousands of books, multiple databases, a comfortable place to hang out, and three staff members available to help you with your book and technology needs. The Learning Commons also manages the Innovation Lab.

We provide several services to our learners, we grouped them into five categories below for easy navigation. The first service is one that a library (which we call a Learning Commons) is most iconic for.

BOOKS & E-BOOKS

We have so many books. Including all of our digital resources, we have 400,000+ titles for you to read...in addition to staff that's eager to help you find the ones you like, or need for class!

CHROMEBOOKS

Come to the Learning Commons to checkout a Chromebook, return a Chromebook, or to have one fixed. Provided in collaboration with IUSD's Information Technology department.

INNOVATION LAB

So much creativity, perseverance, and design thinking happens here! Check it out either on your own time, or with a class.

Libraries are equipped with databases and trained staff to help you find trustworthy resources to answer your research questions.

TEXTBOOKS

Textbooks are mainly circulated at the beginning of the year, at the semester change, and at the end of the year. Novels, for example The Great Gatsby, fall under this category.
