Enrollment & Registration

New to the district? Please Complete the IUSD district enrollment process by clicking here. To complete STEP 3 of the enrollment process, please call the front office at the school to make an appointment.

ENROLLMENT DURING THE SUMMER

While school sites are closed for the summer, enrollment takes place as follows. Summer enrollment, also known as One Stop, will be conducted online during the month of July.  Families may visit the IUSD Enrollment Link and follow instructions to enroll.

  • All enrollment documentation can be emailed to OSEnroll@iusd.org.
  • For families currently enrolled with IUSD who MOVE over the summer: Families may submit updated residency verification paperwork to One Stop via email to OSEnroll@iusd.org, and a transfer will be facilitated in concert with Student Services and Operations.

EXISTING STUDENT REGISTRATION

  • If you are new to the district, complete the IUSD district enrollment process.
  • Current Jeffrey Trail/Cadence Park/Beacon Park students will be pre-registered by Portola Staff during the regular school day in April.
  • All other current IUSD 8th grade students must schedule an appointment with our Counseling Clerk.
  • Students new to the district should enroll on the IUSD Enrollment website, and send all enrollment documents to PHEnroll@iusd.org.

 

DATA CONFIRMATION FOR RETURNING STUDENTS

  • From the Portola High School website, please login to Parent Portal, select Data Confirmation button at the top center area and complete the Data Confirmation process. This is a seasonal process happening in summer and typically ending in mid August. Be sure to check every category and update the emergency contacts and health history information. This is how the school will contact you for attendance issues or in the event of an emergency.
  • At the completion of the Data Confirmation process, please print your Ticket to Register and bring it to your student’s Registration Day.

ENROLLMENT APPOINTMENTS

Please bring the following documentation with you to the scheduled appointment.

1. Annual Residency Verification Affidavit Form 2022-23 with 2 of the following:

Option 1: Primary Residents

  • Property Tax payment receipts;
  • Rental property contract, lease, or payment receipts;
  • Utility service contract, statement, or payment receipts;
  • Pay Stub (both name and residence address must appear on payroll document);
  • Voter Registration;
  • Correspondence from a government agency;
  • State issued identification with residence property address listed; or
  • Declaration of Residency Affidavit

Option 2: Co-Resident or Renters w/utilities included in rent

  • DMV vehicle registration showing residential address;
  • Income Tax Documents (sent from the IRS, State, or County);
  • Social Services Documents;
  • Pay Stub (both name and residence address must appear on payroll document);
  • Cell Phone bill; or
  • Credit Card bill

Option 3: U.S. Military personnel only submit a photocopy of U.S. Uniformed Services Identification Card (front and back) and:

  • Active Duty Military: Copy of active duty military (PCS) orders (SSN Redacted)
  • Retired/Separated: Copy of retirement/separation orders and final DD-214 (SSN Redacted)
  • Proof of Residency: Lease agreement or closing disclosure (formerly HUD-1) *

* Letter in lieu of for Expedited Military Family Enrollment is acceptable (see school site)

2. Proof of Age

  • Certified copy of birth record;
  • Statement by the local registrar or a county recorder certifying the date of birth;
  • Baptism certificate;
  • Passport; or
  • Affidavit of the parent, guardian, or custodian of the minor

3. Student Immunization Documentation

To ensure the optimum health of students and to comply with California state requirements, please review the following immunization requirements that must be met prior to enrollment.

There have been recent changes to Medical Exemption requirements that went into effect January 1, 2021.  Please review the "Medical Exemption Requirements" document and work with your child's healthcare provider should your child require an exemption.  

4. Other Important Documents to bring if you have available

  • Student transcripts and/or withdrawal grades from previous school.
  • Course recommendations from previous school
  • Student IEP/504 documentation (if applicable)
  • LPAC/CELDT Language test (if applicable)
  • CA Fitness test results (if applicable)
