Community Service

Although Portola High School does not require community service for graduation, we believe community service to be a valuable and rich experience for the high school learner.  Learners who complete 25 community service hours per year will receive recognition on their transcript with an additional comment: "Community Service Served".  Community service hours completed during the summer can be included in the school year following that summer.  Community Service Forms must be submitted each year for recognition.

Please submit your community service log when all 25 hours are completed!

2024-25 Community Service Form

Deadline for submitting hours is May 12th, 2025 at 12:30 PM. No late submission will be accepted.

Want to know if your community service hours will be accepted? Please review the Community Service Guidelines below:

2024-25 Community Service Guidelines

Some ideas for learners to gain community service hours is to join a community service club, search for opportunities via www.volunteermatch.org, or researching local community service organizations (see below).
